About Us

We are a married couple from Venezuela. We were optometrists in Venezuela, but we have always been passionate about gastronomy. After a day of work, we always gravitated toward the kitchen. There was nothing better than getting together with our families and creating exquisite traditional dishes or experimenting with brand new ones. Weekends and holidays were spent centered around family and food with much music and laughter. After arriving in the United States, we realized quickly that others were also as passionate about Venezuelan food as we are. For us, one of the best pleasures in life is definitely enjoying favorable cuisine.

In 2015 we decided to explore new horizons as we converted our hobby into our family business and life project. All our food is made from traditional family recipes, honoring the recipes of our loved ones. Our menu is inspired and designed by the foods that we most loved in our childhood and that are still our all-time favorites. We feel proud to have brought our culinary culture to this country and now to your special event.


Sauli Molina

I am very passionate in everything I do, I really enjoy imagining the event, knowing the theme or concept, the color palette, the decoration to integrate either the food truck or our service in buffet presentation or sit-dow dinner the way the highest possible. I can perceive small details and enhance their beauty and exquisiteness, so I make the most of that potential! Furthermore, I would say that I am the creative part of the company, who is interested in image, logistics, marketing, and everything that involves design and creation. To get to know the industry even more and have the necessary tools to help our couples in the most professional way possible, I certified as an event and wedding planner at the Lovegevity wedding planning institute in San Francisco in June 2020.


Erick Díaz

Just as in our family I am the foundation of our company, I develop financial ideas, sales, and marketing strategies. I am the one who organizes the time so that we can provide a service on time, quickly and efficiently, I have a lot of leadership skills. I love meeting couples in advance and knowing their expectations, in advance knowing the place of the event and thus planning all plan a and b so that their event is truly memorable. My wife and I always talk that we are the perfect gear because we have different skills but by putting them together, we make magic happen just like it happens with Pilón kitchen.


Staff

We have a highly qualified team with experience in customer service, special attention in large group events, who have been working in catering services for years. As the face of the company, our servers have skills in guest interaction. We love that they are respectful, kind, caring and of great human quality. In addition, they are perfectly coupled with ethics and professionalism to all the logistics of careful food handling and hygiene that we have designed. As well as show off chords for the event. They have been trained to handle the job’s demands from the most intimate gathering to the most elaborate wedding.


Definitely, the success of Pilón Kitchen does not depend on a single thing or a single person, it is the set of many factors and a whole team.
